What is Mathalon?

Participants will compete with each other through solving 42 math questions in various topics and difficulties. This tournament is divided into 4 rounds, and each round will consist of different topics and rules. Rounds 2 and 3 will be a fast-paced buzzer competition solved in small groups, while Rounds 1 and 4 will consist of a number of questions answered in a limited amount of time and points will be calculated based on the number of correct answers. Each correct answer in the buzzer rounds will be 2 points, and other correct answers will be 4 points. The participant with the highest total score will be the champion.

In lieu of this “Olympiad” event, we have decided to host a math quiz competition consisting of 42 questions, in the same way an olympic marathon is 42 km long. This event is open to anyone who wants to test their math skills and take part in a fun challenge. Participate in this math tournament with high school students from around the world and enjoy a summer of maths!
